At the beginning of 2023 I made a short animation film in a one-week workshop by Ruohan Wang. What resulted was a semi-aquatic and semi-narrative experience rendered at 2 seconds (!!) per frame in Blender using Eevee. I put together a rough soundtrack in Ableton Live with some rudimentary digital synthesizers to compliment the visuals. Check it out in full here, headphones recommended. Mid 2020 I started working at Black and Code Visual Communications on a WDR web animation show called “This is the Ent”. The story follows a virus plotting Earth’s demise in various scenarios, such as global warming, asteroid collisions and nuclear war. I worked as a Houdini artist specializing in lighting, shading and rendering using Redshift as well as Python pipeline optimization. Below are some of the shots I have worked on.
